Marvellous venue you are really in the performance at any level. It’s round the corner from the main NT entrance but the security there aren’t overly helpful in finding it. Pictures from top level all seats had good views but in the bottom you are almost show of the show.
Great little theatre. Stands out with its modern productions. The amenities are quite basic. Cosy and simple, makes for a nice night out. Plenty of venues for drinks and food are around.
A wonderful intimate theatre which changes it's configuration with each play I've seen there. The seats at the top are quite steep and not a lot of leg room but a good view.
An adjunct to The National Theatre, but nothless an excellent stage area and auditorium.
Staff helpful and friendly.
Show. Dixon and Daughters, excellent. Very challenging subject areas. Well presented by the cast. An all female cast welcoming the mother back home after a prison cell. All the cast are excellent, Liz White and Andrea Lowe. But especially the young actor playing the daughter held her stage prescence with the more well known names .
It's the NT, Death of England and a great view despite it supposedly being restricted. Excellent two-handed cast.
I went to see Grenfell in the words of survivors. It was a very good play. The space in the small Dorfman theatre was used really well. Recommended!
Wonderful theatre! Smaller than other theatres at the National, so the hall/bar areas are more compact as well. The hall was crowded but there was no delay at the cloakroom, no enormous queues at the bar / toilets - great! The entrance is at the left side of the building (if facing the building, back to the river - entrance to Dorfman on the left, other theatres on the right). Enjoyed the seats and the leg room is better than in the brand new Soho Place! One thing - there was no brandy in the bar 😂 and how cool would have been some mulled wine - would have been lovely to warm up on a winter day!😂
This is within the National Theatre complex. The show was exceptional, the place was well organised and clean, and the location by the Thames and London Eye can't be beaten, let alone access to the tube and other services. Plenty of restaurants should you want to continue your evening in the vicinity.
Definitely will go again.
